Location: Dongdayan Village, Hongshan Town, Pingyao County

The identity of the tomb occupants is unknown. The cemetery originally had seven burial mounds covering an area of one hundred acres. Today, four earthen mounds remain, with the largest having a diameter of 35.4 meters and the smallest 26 meters.

In 2001, highway construction affected one tomb at the southeastern corner of the cluster, which was excavated as a rescue operation. The tomb is a parallel-brick-vaulted multi-chamber structure, approximately 40 meters in total length, oriented from south to north. It consists of a ramp-style tomb passage, tomb gate, central chambers 1 through 4, left and right side chambers of central chamber 1, a right-side chamber of central chamber 2, and seven passageways. The ramp-style tomb passage is about 25 meters long. Above the vaulted tomb gate is a tall brick wall. This tomb is grand in scale and complex in structure, and it was the first of its kind discovered in the province. The tomb had been looted, but excavations yielded pottery fragments, a small number of red-bodied green-glazed pottery pieces, and some dishes and bowls with red painted designs. Identifiable artifacts include jars, boxes, trays, and wells. Additionally, one jade grip and one five-zhu bronze coin were unearthed.

Hongshan Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Pingyao County. Established as Hongshan People's Commune in 1962 and upgraded to a town in 1984. Located in the northeastern part of the county, it is 12 kilometers from the county seat. The town covers an area of 41.5 square kilometers. The Nan-Tongpu Railway, National Highway 108, and Dayun Highway run through the area. It administers 13 village committees: Hongshan, Beiying, Lancun, Nanying, Dongbao, Hao Village, Xinying, Baijiazhuang, Dongshanhu, Xishanhu, Nanchangshou, Beichangshou, and Songjiabao.
