Shuanglong Town Wushan Canyon Scenic Area is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Shuanglong Town gets its name from its location at the border between Longli County and Guiyang’s Longdongbao area. It was formerly part of Gujiao Town in Longli County and is situated on the southern side of Wushan Canyon, right at the main entrance to the scenic area. Jointly developed by Kunming Dingye Group — the original developer of Lijiang’s Shuhe Ancient Town — and China Railway, the town covers an area of about 400 acres. The development plan includes an ethnic culture tourism town, a traditional Chinese canyon hot spring villa district, a horse riding club, a drive-in cinema, a mountain lake landscape area, a glass walkway, a cableway, a suspension bridge, a golf course, outdoor camping areas, a mountain flower sea landscape area, and food and hotel facilities. The tourism town is built along the mountainside, taking advantage of the canyon’s terrain. It features a natural village layout composed of traditional front-shop-back-yard style courtyard homes and street-front shops. The architectural style draws inspiration from classic design elements across various regions of China, reflecting Guizhou’s cultural characteristic of “inclusiveness and diversity.”

Currently, 70% of the construction work within the canyon — including roads, the glass walkway, the cableway, water features, and scenic pathways — has been completed. Large-scale rock sculptures, cliff paintings, a 20,000-square-meter water landscape, a 47-meter-high sightseeing elevator, and a family fun zone are currently under intensive construction. The scenic area is designed around a dynamic theme park and a serene garden, forming two complementary attractions that together create a well-rounded entertainment experience.

Shuanglong Town – Wushan Canyon Tourist Area is the core scenic zone of the China Railway International Tourism Resort. It integrates the natural beauty of Wushan Canyon with the cultural landscape of Shuanglong Town, forming a unified whole. It is currently the largest investment project in Guizhou that combines residential living, tourism, outdoor leisure, vacationing, and weekend getaways. The area enjoys convenient transportation — the six-lane Gui-Long Avenue connecting downtown Guiyang to the site has been opened to traffic. Most of the bridge construction has also been completed on the high-grade highway under construction from Baiyun District’s Jinyang to Shuanglong Town. Travel time from Guiyang to Shuanglong Town is just 30 minutes.

Route: Guiyang — Longdongbao Avenue — Gui-Long Avenue — turn left onto China Railway Avenue — follow signs to turn right into Shuanglong Town Parking Lot No. 1, then turn left uphill to Parking Lot No. 2. The total distance is approximately 23 kilometers.
