Highlights 1. The journey to Monkey Valley is quite long, and horseback riding there may take five or six hours, so it’s best to set off from the grassland early in the morning. Also, since there are no accommodations available there, you’ll have to return to the grassland for the night. Of course, if you bring a tent or similar gear, you can camp there as well. 2. There are many areas in Monkey Valley where you’ll need to wade through water, but be sure not to wear shorts or sandals. It’s best to wear something sturdy yet adjustable, like jeans. Introduction It is named for the large population of macaques. The scenic area boasts majestic mountains, beautiful waters, and lush forests, along with many karst caves. These caves often contain underground rivers, which emerge to form numerous springs and waterfalls. There are so many attractions that it’s hard to take them all in. Transportation Getting to Monkey Valley is not very convenient—you can only get there by horseback or on foot from Longli Grassland.
