Baizi Bridge
Baizi Bridge is located on the Jianjiang River in the city center. In the 51st year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1786), Tang Wensheng, a respected scholar from the Buyi ethnic group in Shuizhuyuan on the outskirts of Duyun, spent all his personal fortune to build the bridge alone. It was completed in the 56th year of the Qianlong reign (1791). The stone bridge has seven arches, is 140 meters long, 8 meters wide, and 11.5 meters high. The bridge features a covered corridor, with the Sòngcuì Pavilion built at both ends. Its stone railings and painted beams exude a strong ethnic style, and it is a provincial-level cultural heritage protection site.
