Tingyu Tower

Tingyu Tower is located outside the old county yamen in Pingyao Ancient City. It can be accessed from inside the yamen, and from the tower you can enjoy a panoramic view of Pingyao. Tingyu Tower faces the main street directly — standing on the tower, you'll see a long, straight thoroughfare.

On the west side of this small tower, a plaque on the wall is inscribed with the three large characters “观风楼” (Observation Wind Tower), while the plaque bearing the name “听雨楼” (Listening to the Rain Tower) is hung on the east side of the tower.
