Weining County’s Liangshuigou Grassland is situated at the junction of Weining and Hezhang, approximately 30 kilometers from the county seat. The access road spans 0.5 kilometers and links to National Highway 326. The area features good water resources, a pleasant environment, and well-preserved ecological vegetation. Covering a total area of over 10,000 mu, it includes more than 4,000 mu of high-quality artificial pasture and over 3,000 mu of grassy hills and slopes. The elevation ranges from 2,000 to 2,400 meters, with an average annual temperature of around 10°C, relative humidity of about 80%, and average annual rainfall of roughly 1,000 millimeters. The farm primarily focuses on sheep farming, combining agriculture and animal husbandry while also engaging in diversified operations. In 1992, along with Daliu in Anhui, Luohansi in Hubei, and Xundian Breeding Sheep Farm in Yunnan, it was designated by the Ministry of Agriculture as a breeding base for the Corriedale semi-fine wool sheep in southern China. In 1999, it passed provincial-level inspection and became a key provincial breeding sheep farm, serving as an important sheep production and breeding base in Guizhou Province and even the southwestern region. Currently, the farm has over 5,000 m² of livestock housing, with an annual inventory of more than 1,200 sheep. In 2006, it obtained a Livestock and Poultry Production License issued by the Provincial Department of Agriculture, making it one of the legally authorized sheep breeding units in the region. The farm employs 190 staff members, including 92 retirees, 68 active employees, 15 management officials, 46 senior technical workers, 6 intermediate technical workers, and 1 junior technical worker. The team possesses extensive breeding experience and solid technical expertise.
