Jiang'an River Park

Jiang'an River Park is located in the downstream section of the Wuhou District along the Jiang'an River. It consists of three segments: Dynamic Vitality, Ancient Temple Morning Bell, and Liangshuijingfang, distributed in a strip along the river. The park stretches 13.2 kilometers in total length and covers an area of 1,500 acres, with the Ancient Temple Morning Bell area as its core. The park's planning emphasizes connectivity between the waterfront area and the city, ensuring excellent accessibility. The southern end is connected to the Airport Expressway via Lianggang Bridge at the south entrance, the central section links to Wuhou Avenue, and the northern end intersects with Sichuan-Tibet Road. Bus routes 404 and 503 run through the park, providing very convenient transportation.

The core area, Ancient Temple Morning Bell, utilizes existing landscape resources to create a scenic pedestrian street rich in the regional cultural characteristics of western Sichuan, complete with supporting facilities. Newly built shops feature a front-store-back-factory layout, reflecting the bustling prosperity of traditional Sichuan market towns. This forms a dining and leisure service center for visitors, set against a backdrop of greenery and interconnected by water features that tie the entire scenic area together. The architecture takes the form of traditional Sichuan-style residences, enclosing spaces such as courtyards, streets, and squares. These traditional architectural forms convey Chengdu’s rich cultural and historical heritage. Here, visitors can sample Sichuan specialties, visit Shu Han craft workshops, and even try their hand at making their own souvenirs. Folk performances such as dragon lantern dancing, dry-boat rowing, stilt walking, and gongs-and-drums parades are also brought to life within the park.
