Yongkang Forest Park

Yongkang Forest Park is located in Yongkang Village and Chuanxilin Village under the jurisdiction of Jinhuaqiao, with a planned area of 2,160 mu. The first phase of the project covers an area of approximately 1,335 mu, including 632 mu in Yongkang Village and 703 mu in Chuanxilin Village. The park is adjacent to the Jiang'an River and boasts abundant water resources. It features natural slopes, large-scale nurseries, block-shaped green spaces, and the original pastoral landscape, creating a favorable natural environment.

Yongkang Forest Park is situated at the northwest corner of Chengdu’s urban center, in an upwind and upstream location that serves as one of the city’s major air intakes. The park site falls within the non-construction land category of the city's master plan. In Chengdu’s urban-rural integration planning, Yongkang Forest Park has been designated as a future hub for conferences and holidays.

As one of the thematic parks along the Jiang'an River Ecological Leisure Belt in Wuhou District, Yongkang Forest Park will highlight features such as inland river wetland water culture, the culture of the Three Kingdoms period, traditional architecture of western Sichuan, and folk culture. It aims to become a green ecological urban functional service area integrating conferences, holidays, leisure, entertainment, and sightseeing.

The development of Yongkang Forest Park is an important component of Chengdu’s 2005 initiative to create a “Garden City.” The park has now completed the “Yucui Caotang” reception center with distinctive Chinese garden characteristics. Key park nodes include: Seeking Serenity – Tea Tasting in the Bamboo Grove, Festivity – Pastoral Scenery, and Regeneration – Urban-Rural Charm, among other main scenic areas.
