This museum has systematically and comprehensively collected physical archives of China's military helicopters and aircraft, as well as related historical and cultural materials. It documents the development and growth of various branches of the Chinese People's Liberation Army in the use of helicopters and aircraft since the founding of the PLA — from initially relying solely on foreign purchases to the arduous process of developing a range of helicopters and aircraft equipment with independent intellectual property rights through the tireless efforts of defense science and technology experts in the field of military technology research, reflecting the history of how China’s national defense capabilities have evolved from nonexistence to establishment, and from weakness to strength.
