Bameng Stone Forest Park Scenic Area is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

China's MOSHIPARKSCENICAREA is a national 4A-level tourist attraction, a geological science education center, one of the birthplaces of King Gesar, and one of the Eight Beauties of Dawu. As a world geological wonder and China’s only high-altitude stone forest landscape, it is a diversified scenic area integrating sightseeing, experience, scientific research, and educational value, and is hailed as “the Eighth Beauty on China’s Most Beautiful Scenic Route.”

Located in the core section of China’s Most Beautiful Scenic Route — National Highway 318 — China's MOSHIPARKSCENICAREA is adjacent to renowned attractions such as Danba Beauty Valley, Kangding Xinduqiao, and Yajiang Khampa Men Village. It serves as a transit hub from the Hailuogou Summit of Shangri-La to the Soul of Shangri-La, Yading. It is an important node along Sichuan Province’s Western Tourism Loop and the Two-Hour Tourism Circle around Mount Gongga, and a key part of the core Greater Shangri-La region as well as the starting point of the Kangba-Kangbei Ethnic Culture Tourism Route. The park boasts eight major landscapes: magnificent grasslands, graceful wetlands, fantastical stone forests, distinctive dwellings, alpine flower fields, golden forest colors, sacred stupas and temples, and stunning sunrises and sunsets.

Covering an area of about 5 square kilometers, the stone forest maze in China's MOSHIPARKSCENICAREA rivals the famous limestone karst stone forests in southern China. In terms of geological scientific value, it is unique in China and rare in the world. Similar mylonite rock stone forests have not been reported either domestically or abroad. Dawu Prefecture is densely packed with cultural and tourism resources, encompassing eight rare types of beauty: that of sacred mountains, esoteric Buddhism, stone forests, heroes, grasslands, ancient forts, folk customs, and scenic towns.
