Bameng Plateau Meadow

The Bameng Plateau Meadow is located in the southeastern part of Daofu County, Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It covers an area of 2,029 square kilometers, encompasses five townships, and has approximately 2,000 households with a population of over 10,000. Situated on a highland meadow, Bameng has an average elevation of over 3,000 meters. The town of Bameng is 78 kilometers from the county seat, 28 kilometers from Tagong Township in Kangding County nearby, and 87 kilometers from Danba County. It lies at the strategic throat of the Sichuan–Tibet Highway and at the starting point of the Badan Highway, serving as “the largest commercial market in the southeastern part of Daofu County.”
