Mount Ming's King Kong Temple

Mount Ming's King Kong Temple is a Sichuan Provincial Cultural Relic Protection Unit.

The provincial-level cultural relic protection unit, King Kong Temple, is located in King Kong Village, Che Ling Town, Ming Shan District.

The temple is made up of four tiled houses, with the main hall in the center and the other three arranged in a triangular formation.

The four tiled houses surround a courtyard of over 200 square meters. The courtyard is entirely paved with stone slabs, half of which are already covered in moss, with scattered bricks silently telling the history that once unfolded here.

In the center of the courtyard stands an incense burner, whose exquisitely carved patterns indicate the long history of this structure.

The most remarkable feature inside King Kong Temple is its wooden pillars. The main hall is supported by seven or eight golden nanmu wood pillars, each with a diameter of nearly one meter.

The beams are also inscribed with characters such as “...renovated during the Zhengtong era of the Ming Dynasty...”
