Ancient Tea Horse Road - Ladder Ancient Path
The Ancient Tea Horse Road - Ladder Ancient Path is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.
The Ladder Ancient Path is located between the Yuwang Palace halfway up the mountain and Tiancai Temple, featuring 1,456 stone steps ascending along a slope of 30° to 50°. As the old saying goes, “A cloud ladder leads to the heavens,” hence the name "Ladder." Legend has it that after successfully taming the floods, Yu the Great once led his people up Mengding Mountain to offer sacrifices to the heavens, passing through this very path.
On June 1, 2007, the Ladder Ancient Path was designated as a Sichuan Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit by the People's Government of Sichuan Province.
On March 5, 2013, the Ladder Ancient Path was designated as a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit by the State Council of the People's Republic of China.
