The Starting Point of Famous Mountains is located in Huangwan Township, the first township of Mount Emei, known as the “Shangri-La of Mount Emei.” It serves as the gateway to the Mount Emei Scenic Area. The archway of the “Starting Point of Famous Mountains” combines the essence of ancient architectural arts from both northern and southern China. It embodies the solemn grandeur of northern architecture and the delicate craftsmanship of southern architecture, while the top of the archway adopts the typical upturned eaves style found in traditional Mount Emei residences. The entire structure is built in an antique style, combining simplicity and elegance. It integrates passenger transport and management offices for the scenic area, and is also an important component of the “Digital Mount Emei” project.
