Emei Mountain Museum serves as a science education base.

Emei Mountain Museum is located by the Phoenix Lake in the Baoguo Temple Scenic Area, with the traditional Emei scenery “Evening Bell at Shengji” behind it. Nestled in lush greenery, the museum enjoys an elegant setting.

Covering an area of over 20,000 square meters, the exhibition space spans 4,000 square meters, presenting a grand and classic ambiance.

The exhibition halls are divided into two major categories and six sections: the Film & Video Hall, Geological Hall, Biology Hall, Historical & Cultural Hall, Buddhist Art Hall, and Ancient Calligraphy & Painting Hall. Among them: the Film & Video Hall utilizes high-tech methods to depict the 800-million-year rise and fall of Emei Mountain; the Geological Hall showcases the ancient and mystical geological evolution of the mountain; the Biology Hall features six ecological display cases that vividly illustrate the wonders of Emei’s natural life; the Historical & Cultural Hall presents cultural relics reflecting the diligence, wisdom, and hard work of Emei’s early inhabitants; the Buddhist Art Hall displays artistic treasures from the sacred Buddhist site; and the Ancient Calligraphy & Painting Hall exhibits calligraphic and painting works left by literati who visited Emei throughout history. The entire exhibition area integrates Emei’s cultural and natural landscapes, demonstrating the profound richness of its natural and cultural heritage.

Tip: Next to the museum is the Tourist Information Service Center, which provides free consultation services for visitors regarding the Emei Mountain Scenic Area. Ticket & Opening Hours
