Attractions Introduction

Introduction Hall Walk about 3.5 kilometers up the mountain path from the Introduction Hall to reach Prince’s Flat. Legend has it that the temple once enshrined a statue of Zhu Changluo, the son of Emperor Shenzong of the Ming Dynasty, hence the name. It is about half an hour’s walk from the Golden Summit, making it a good choice for those who want to watch the sunrise without paying too much for lodging or getting up too early.

Originally named Wanxing Nunnery, Prince’s Flat was first built by the ancient Zen master Guozhi in the Ming Dynasty and later reconstructed by Master Wenda during the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty. The current small temple is not large, but the surroundings are very quiet, and it offers food and accommodation. Opposite the temple, there are also farmhouse restaurants that double as guesthouses, though the lodging conditions are relatively basic.
