　Jiulong Gorge Tourist Scenic Area is a pristine, mature tourist destination developed in response to the call of the Party Central Committee and the State Council for the large-scale development of China’s western regions. It is the closest ecotourism scenic area to Zizhong County, located just 3 kilometers from the county center, 3 kilometers from the exit of the Zizhong Toll Station on the Chengdu-Chongqing Expressway, 2 kilometers from the Zizhong Railway Station on the Chengdu-Chongqing Railway, and situated along National Highway 321, offering very convenient transportation. Approved by Zizhong County People's Government in Document [1998] No. 2 as a county-level scenic area, it covers a total planned area of 640 mu. Leveraging historical sites such as the ancient Yujia Temple and Shenggong Temple, alongside natural attractions like Tianchengzhai (Bandit Fort), Wangyou Valley, Jiaohua Cliff, Daogou, Changshangou, Jiulong Mountain, the Divine Turtle Watching the Moon, and the Jiulong Waterfall, the scenic area is divided into six main zones for development. It has been integrated into the “Build a Harmonious Zizhong, Establish a Strong Tourism County” campaign and is part of the southern Sichuan tourism circuit as an ideal leisure spot.

　The Jiulong Holiday Resort is the pioneering establishment in the Jiulong Gorge Tourist Scenic Area. Initially built in September 2000 through government-guided private investment, it covers an area of over 60 mu. After seven years of development and an investment of more than 3.6 million yuan, it has now taken initial shape.
