The Warring States Wooden Slips Cultural Ecological Park is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

The Warring States Wooden Slips Cultural Ecological Park scenic area in Qingchuan County centers on the Warring States tomb cluster ruins, Qingchuan County Museum, the Gratitude Wall, and Weiganliang where Haojiaping is located. It forms ten major landscapes including Eternal Qingchuan, Gratitude Culture Square, Gratitude Wall, Haojiaping Warring States Tomb Cluster Ruins, Museum, Gratitude Pavilion, Gratitude Bridge, Light of Wooden Slips Square, People’s Park, and Ginkgo Park. These attract surrounding areas such as Zhangjia Village, Chashu Village, and Dagou Village. The core area spans approximately 0.12 square kilometers, and the “ten major landscapes” stretch across the entire county.

The scenic area boasts a unique combination of landscape, cultural resources, and urban scenery. It is the earliest discovered site of Warring States wooden slips, a concentrated display of gratitude culture following the Wenchuan earthquake, an experience hub for folk customs at the junction of Sichuan, Shaanxi, and Gansu, and one of the best ecological wellness resorts in the Qinba Mountains. With a long cultural history and rich heritage, the area features a blend of Warring States wooden slips culture, earthquake gratitude culture, folk culture, and religious culture. Key attractions include the national key cultural relic protection unit “Haojiaping Warring States Tomb Cluster” and intangible cultural heritage performances such as “Hao Cao Luo Gu,” Ermian Maliu Ye, and Niu Deng.

Qingchuan enjoys exceptional tourism resources. In recent years, it has been honored as China’s Most Charming Eco-Tourism County and a National Eco-Tourism Demonstration Zone, and was awarded the title of Best Eco-Tourism Destination at the 2016 China National Travel · Jinglei Awards.

(1) Characteristic Landscapes. Centered on the theme of Warring States wooden slips culture and the old town area of the county, elements such as wooden slips culture, ecological culture, and gratitude culture are integrated into urban squares, landscape sculptures, and other architectural features. Ten distinctive landscapes have been successively built, including Eternal Qingchuan, Gratitude Culture Wall, and Light of Wooden Slips Square.

(2) Standardized Facilities. Accessibility to the scenic area has been improved through upgrades to the Qiaomu Expressway and the road from Jinshishan to the county town. Fourteen new and renovated eco-friendly parking lots have been constructed, and four scenic area bus routes have been opened. Functional service areas such as a cinema hall, monitoring room, complaint office, and shopping area have been enhanced. Signage—including guide maps, orientation signs, identification plates, scenic spot description signs, and public information graphic symbols—has been standardized.

(3) Regulated Management. Tourism resources within the scenic area are managed in a unified manner, establishing a management model that includes unified planning, construction, protection, administration, and marketing. Strict controls are enforced on new construction projects within the scenic area—especially nearby—and incongruous buildings in the core zone have been demolished. The architectural style of the core scenic area and its surroundings has also been regulated.

(4) Humanized Services. Staff training programs have been actively conducted in areas such as quality control, marketing, safety, guiding, sanitation, environmental protection, and statistics to enhance overall service standards. A dedicated domain name has been used to build the scenic area website, which strengthens visitor feedback collection and complaint response—resulting in a 100% resolution rate and satisfaction rate over the past three years. Active efforts have been made to guide business formats by planning specialty streets for local snacks, regional products, and handmade crafts, while “Entrepreneurship Street” and “Innovation Space” have been designated as centralized dining and shopping zones.
