Dam · Trumpet Creeper Valley is located in Daba Village, Daba Township, Qingchuan County, Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province. It is 23 kilometers from Qingchuan County and 74 kilometers from the Tangjiahe National Nature Reserve. It gets its name from the abundant trumpet creepers that bloom in the area. Trumpet creeper belongs to the Bignoniaceae family and is a climbing vine plant. Its blooming season lasts for over four months, typically flourishing from May to September each year, and it symbolizes maternal love. Historically, the trumpet creeper has been regarded as a representation of lofty aspirations and noble reputation. As the poem goes, “Climbing straight up the branches toward the sky, yet rooted still on level ground. It’s not that the flower clings to other trees to bloom, but it dares to rival the sun in radiant pride,” which praises the trumpet creeper for daring to compete with the sun in brilliance—a flower of bold spirit.

The Dam · Trumpet Creeper Valley scenic area was established in 2016. Its main attractions include the Ethnic Culture Square, Tea Garden Maze, Coiling Dragon Platform, and Coiling Dragon Suspension Bridge. The scenic area boasts a forest coverage rate of 84%, featuring beautiful landscapes, a pleasant climate, distinct seasons, and picturesque scenery all year round—“fragrant green tea in spring, fragrant trumpet creepers in summer, golden ginkgo trees in autumn, and snow-covered landscapes in winter.” It serves as a natural oxygen bar ideal for summer retreats, wellness, and leisure.
