In 221 AD, Liu Bei stationed in Jiameng. Taking advantage of the area’s thriving population, fertile land, and abundant resources, he extensively recruited soldiers, stockpiled provisions, and made thorough preparations for establishing the Shu Han regime. The Sword and Blade Barrack was the site where Liu Bei trained his troops. Due to the daily sight of swords flying and blades dancing, locals called it the “Sword and Blade Barrack,” a name that has endured to this day.

The Sword and Blade Barrack Monarchs' Garden is a garden featuring stone sculptures of Shu Han figures who fought and lived in Zhaohua during the Three Kingdoms period. It aims to reflect that historical era while highlighting the Three Kingdoms cultural theme of the ancient Zhaohua City. The garden paths are laid out in the pattern of the Taiji yin-yang fish eyes, with clumps of spotted bamboo serving as the main greenery. Sculptures of Shu Han figures are tucked among the bamboo groves, appearing and disappearing intermittently, creating a mysterious and serene atmosphere.

Covering an area of 800 square meters, the Monarchs' Garden houses 11 stone sculptures of Shu Han figures. In addition to Liu Bei, the founding emperor of Shu Han, the garden also features statues of other Shu Han generals who fought and lived in Zhaohua, including Zhang Fei, Ma Chao, Huang Zhong, Pang Tong, Wei Yan, Fei Yi, Jiang Wei, Huo Jun, Guan Suo, and Bao Sanniang, showcasing their valor and legacy. There is also a sculpture of Liu Bei’s beloved steed, “Dilu.”
