On May 28 and 29, 2012, a Canadian kindergarten held a themed event called “Kids, Unite to Guard Childhood!” at Shunyi Butterfly Valley to celebrate Children’s Day. As a partner of the event, Coleman arranged thoughtful and fun activities for the children.
At 9:30 a.m., around 300 children, accompanied by their parents, arrived at Shunyi Butterfly Valley. The children first visited the butterfly viewing area, the butterfly science world, and the butterfly culture zone. Through the tour, the children learned how caterpillars turn into butterflies, and in the end, each child received a beautiful butterfly.
Next, the children went to the square to release their own butterflies. Hundreds of butterflies fluttered together as the kids ran after their own, and some butterflies even landed on people and stayed there without flying away.
By noon, the sun was blazing hot. Coleman’s large canopy provided shade for the children and parents, while the kids especially enjoyed jumping on Coleman’s inflatable mattresses. In the public snack and drink area, Coleman’s insulated containers came in very handy—drinks stored in them remained cool even in the high outdoor temperatures.
