Liliang Ancient Road

As an important branch of the ancient Shu Road's Micang Path, it was the essential courier route from Lizhou (now Guangyuan) to Langzhong in ancient times. Within the territory of Bailin Ancient Town, it stretches over ten kilometers from north to south, starting at Shiquanzi (Xiemayi Post) in the north and reaching Xiaojia Mountain (Ming Dynasty courier road) and Maohewan Mountain (Qing Dynasty courier road) in the south. Sentry platforms were set up every three to five li for travelers to rest and cool off, with relatively flat connecting paths in perilous sections for mounted travel and cargo transport. The road features four Buddha Cliff sites with hundreds of Buddha statues. Along the way, towering yellow tung trees and dense cypress forests create picturesque landscapes with mountain paths and water stations.

Bailin Kou Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Yuanba District, Guangyuan City. Established as Bolong Township in 1940, renamed Bailin Township in 1950, then Chilan Township in 1951, reverted to Bailin Township in 1955, converted to a commune in 1958, renamed Bailinkou Commune in 1981, re-established as Bailin Kou Township in 1984, and upgraded to a town in 1992. Located in the southern part of the district, 28 kilometers from the district government. It covers an area of 49.6 square kilometers with a population of 9,000. Accessible by road. It administers seven village committees: Ming’an, Matitan, Maohewan, Lanli, Fengjiaping, Baima, and Xiangyang.
