The founding date and historical renovation details are unknown. It derives its name from being situated against Fo'ye Nao (Buddha’s Head Peak). Originally, it had two courtyards, but now only one Song Dynasty Buddhist hall remains. The hall faces south, is three bays wide and four bays deep, with an almost square floor plan. It has a single-eave hip-and-gable roof, cylindrical and flat tiles, and glazed ridge decorations. The bracket sets are arranged in a complex pattern, showcasing refined craftsmanship. Most structural components are original and largely intact, particularly the beams and interior woodwork, which remain well-preserved in form and technique. It is a uniquely distinctive example of Song Dynasty wooden architecture. Read more:
