Master Minghui Pagoda is a cultural relic protection unit of Shanxi Province.

0 Master Pagoda is located in Hongni Village, Hongtiguan Township, about 35 kilometers east of the county seat. The village is small and surrounded by mountains on all sides. The pagoda was built on the ruins of Haihui Temple at the foot of the reddish-brown Zifeng Mountain. On the back of the pagoda is an inscription carved in the third year of Changxing during the Later Tang Dynasty of the Five Dynasties (929), recording an anecdote about 0 Master. It says that in the fourth year of Qianfu during the Tang Dynasty (887), when he was the abbot of Haihui Temple, someone reported that Baoguang was planning to kill him. The master said, “I have long been unafraid of life and death; if I am executed, I will simply be repaying an old karmic debt.” Sure enough, on the thirteenth day of the first lunar month that year, he was killed. Later, his disciples Chongzhao and others enshrined his relics and, under the decree of the Luzhou military governor, built this pagoda. It is over ten feet tall, square-shaped, with a single-eave five-tiered four-slope roof and a stupa-style pointed spire. The pagoda body features carvings of Vajra figures with well-defined muscles, strong and powerful, along with lively dancing performers. The four sides are decorated with engraved scrolling floral patterns, simple yet elegant, solemn and beautiful. In 1965, it was designated as a provincial-level key cultural relic protection unit.
