Jiulong Lake is like a silver mirror inlaid in the precious land of Daxian, shining with dazzling brilliance. The lake covers an area of 3,480 mu, with a water storage capacity of 19.54 million cubic meters. Eight islands of varying shapes and sizes are scattered across the lake like stars. Nine peninsulas stretch into the lake from all directions like nine giant dragons, hence the name.

Jiulong Lake is vast and misty, serene and deep, surrounded by green mountains that create a beautiful and unique setting. The shimmering lake and picturesque hills, along with the plump fish, clear waters, red walls, grey tiles, and curling cooking smoke, form a refreshing picture of a Jiangnan water town. On the southeastern shore of the lake lies a magical cave called “Dragon Bell Cave,” which features interconnected chambers, winding passages, crisscrossing routes, and endless depths. White stalactites hang like silver waterfalls or low-hanging curtains.
