Yuejiazhai, originally named Xiashihao Village, is located 14 kilometers from Shicheng Town in Pingshun County. Historical records indicate that the villagers of Xiashihao are descendants of the national hero Yue Fei. Legend has it that after Yue Fei was betrayed and killed by treacherous officials, his descendants fled here from Tangyin, Henan, to escape persecution. To avoid being hunted down and to bide their time for a comeback, they named the place according to the terrain—calling it “Yuejiazhai” within the community to honor their heroic heritage, and “Xiashihao” externally to seek protection. The village is situated on a fault platform of the mountain, with an average elevation of 1,200 meters, surrounded by cliffs on all sides, earning it the reputation of the “Sky Village of the Taihang Mountains.” Due to its unique geographical features, the area enjoys a microclimate where “winters are not harsh and summers are not scorching.”

Shicheng Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Pingshun County. In 1958, the Shicheng Commune was established, and in 1984, it was upgraded to a town. Located in the northeastern part of the county, it is 60 kilometers from the county seat. Covering an area of 69 square kilometers with a population of 9,000, it is traversed by the Ganlin Highway. The town administers 21 village committees: Shicheng, Doukou, Dongzhuang, Kechang, Douyu, Huangbaping, Xizhuang, Yaoshang, Yuantou, Cuijiazhuang, Qingcaowa, Lao Shenjiao, Daping, Xiashihao, Mangyan, Shanggang, Zaolin, Liuji, Huanghua, Shuiban Shi, and Zixin.
