The Red Culture Grassland Park Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Red Army Grassland Park is situated on the left bank of the Anning River in the county town, extending from Guanyinyan Bridge in the south to Jiefang Bridge in the north. It covers an area of 24 hectares and stretches 3.2 kilometers in length. The park’s design fuses urban ecological wetlands with Mianning’s red culture, themed around red history, ecology, and rural culture. It integrates multiple functions such as education, leisure, fitness, and entertainment. By introducing water into the park, it creates garden landscapes using a narrative approach that condenses the ten most important historical moments of the Red Army’s 25,000-li Long March within this 3.2-kilometer stretch. As a municipal and wetland park, it is named the Red Army Grassland Park due to its incorporation of the Long March culture.

The style of the Red Army Cultural Square and its supporting park landscape expansion project features a water system that continues from the Yihai Lake, forming a multi-tiered cascading micro-waterfall landscape. The waterfront walkway on the west side of the water system winds and twists, offering ever-changing views as you move along it. With the changes in elevation of the water system, the walkway undulates continuously, while wild-style planting enhances the fluidity and diversity of the space. The gentle slope grassland on the east side of the water system serves both as a scenic backdrop and softens the visual impact of the embankment. The site also maximally preserves existing landscape trees such as ginkgo and weeping willows. The embankment-side waterfront walkway runs along the river, allowing the public to get as close as possible to our mother river — the Anning River. Advanced road paving technology has been introduced on the embankment, constructing a red concrete permeable pavement that symbolizes the red path taken by the Red Army during the Long March. Within the embankment, water is brought into the park, and at the node of the Yihai Alliance during the Long March, Red Army Lake was built. The lake water flows downward, creating a dynamic stream effect. Along the lakeside and downstream, waterfront walkways have been constructed, and based on historical facts of the Long March, a memorial wall depicting the “Luguo Division” of the Red Army’s passage through Mianning has been erected. On the embankment, features such as Li Mile Columns recreate scenes from the Red Army’s Long March. The entire park unfolds along the Anning River upstream in a winding manner, mirroring the historical progression of the Red Army’s Long March, commemorating history and passing on culture.
