Chongqing Weixing Lake is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Weixing Lake Tourist Area is a national AAA-level scenic spot, located in Shuangzhu Town, Yongchuan City, Chongqing. It is 63 kilometers from downtown Chongqing and 10 kilometers from Yongchuan City. Along the same prime tourism route as the national forest park Chashan Bamboo Sea, the national AAAA-level Chongqing Wildlife Park, and the ancient town of Songgai, it is a leading tourist attraction in western Chongqing and an important site along the key transportation corridor connecting Chongqing to southern Sichuan, northeastern Yunnan, and northwestern Guizhou. The area centers around the renowned Weixing Lake and its surrounding landscapes, covering a total area of 12 square kilometers. Weixing Lake stretches 8 kilometers in length with 1,500 mu (approximately 100 hectares) of water surface, featuring crisscrossing bays and numerous naturally formed peninsulas and islands. To the northwest of the lake lies the National Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Zone and provincial forest park Huanggua Mountain, as well as the famous Bizigou Scenic Area. To the southeast lies the Jin Sanwei Ecological Flower Park. The picturesque Chongqing University of Arts and Sciences is situated by the lakeside. The Weixing Lake Tourist Area boasts well-developed tourism infrastructure and comprehensive recreational services, including the Water World, Kaiming Water Amusement Park, and a resort marina. It also features the scenic provincial-level garden-style higher education institution Chongqing University of Arts and Sciences, the Weixing Lake International Tourism Resort, Taohua Mountain Villa, Bizigou, the religious and folk culture sites Shigui Temple and Kang Le Palace, as well as the signature western Chongqing delicacy “Xinghu Fish,” mountain pepper black fish, various spicy fish dishes, and the emerging charm of the tourist town. Since its opening in 1986, Weixing Lake has developed three main tourist routes and attracts over 300,000 domestic and international visitors annually. Nestled against mountains and by the water with beautiful surroundings, the Weixing Lake Tourist Area is an ideal destination for sightseeing, summer retreats, leisure vacations, conferences, training, and gourmet experiences.
