Yongchuan Cucumber Mountain is a National Demonstration Zone for Leisure Agriculture and Rural Tourism, a National Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Zone, a Chongqing Municipal Pilot Zone for Urban-Rural Reform Integration, and a Chongqing Municipal Modern Agriculture Demonstration Zone. The mountain features majestic terrain and unique landforms, earning its name for resembling a cucumber in shape. With an average elevation of 550 meters and an annual average temperature of 18–22 degrees, it boasts over 80% forest coverage. The area offers pleasant rural natural scenery, a solid foundation for agricultural industrialization, well-developed rural tourism infrastructure, and increasingly refined service standards, making it a flagship destination of Yongchuan tourism. Visitors can enjoy attractions such as the Forest Scenic Boulevard, the Visitor Reception Center, China Pear Village, Peach Blossom Land, and Chongye, as well as savor cuisine at distinctive rural dining spots like Hunting Ground, Yixiu Jingyuan, Jian Gong Farm, and Wild Boar Forest. They can also explore contiguous agricultural zones spanning 60,000 acres planted with pears, blueberries, loquats, and sunflowers, showcasing the large-scale, landscaped beauty of modern agriculture. Additional projects under development include the Four Seasons Flower Sea, Fragrant Fruit Paradise, Lailong Lake Riverside Town, and Thai-Style Garden. This rural leisure tourism zone, where “the earthy fragrance mingles with blooming fruits” and “flowers bloom monthly, fruits ripen seasonally, and delicious cuisine is available year-round,” is taking shape.

Cucumber Mountain Pear Blossom Festival: The white pear blossoms, delicate and fragrant, are elegant yet not overwhelming, bright yet not intense. Every year from mid-to-late March, tens of thousands of pear blossoms burst forth on the branches, covering the mountains in continuous stretches of snow-white blooms for miles. Coupled with various festive activities, the festival attracts enthusiastic participation from nearby cities and districts.

Cucumber Mountain Fruit Picking Season: During summer and autumn each year, pears, blueberries, strawberries, and grapes on the mountain ripen in succession. Visitors can enjoy the joy of bountiful harvests and experience the fun of picking fruit themselves.
