Qianjian Reservoir (Goddess Lake) Water Conservancy Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a national water conservancy scenic area.

Goddess Lake is located at the foot of Chashan Bamboo Sea. It is a composite experiential ecological and cultural park that integrates elements such as mountains, water, forests, rocks, pavilions, corridors, and the Goddess of Chashan statue, blending fresh and elegant natural landscapes with a grand cultural spectacle. Serene, graceful, classic, romantic, and naturally harmonious, it captivates all who visit.

The lake is one of Yongchuan’s “Three Lakes” project, which includes Xinglong Lake, Fenghuang Lake, and Goddess Lake. The park has received a total investment of 250 million RMB, broke ground in March 2010, and covers an area of approximately 1,200 mu, including about 200 mu of water bodies and around 1,000 mu of green landscaping. Around the Goddess Lake water area, there is a harmonious combination of a 160,000-square-meter lakeside park, a 30,000-square-meter Chashan Park, a 50,000-square-meter Zhushan Park, and a 140,000-square-meter Goddess Park.

The construction of the lake centers on the 1-square-kilometer area of Goddess Lake (formerly Qianjian Reservoir) at the foot of Pumpkin Mountain, driving the development of a 9-square-kilometer area north of the Chongqing-Kunming Expressway. Goddess Lake will rely on Qianjian Reservoir and Pumpkin Mountain, maintaining the basic original form of the mountain while appropriately adding pathways and landscape features. This area is a tourism industry cluster centered on leisure and vacation, showcasing Yongchuan’s profound traditional cultural heritage through the Goddess of Chashan and the Ancient City of Changzhou, with an emphasis on a classic and romantic theme. Key projects include the northern end of Xinglong Avenue, the Goddess of Chashan statue and square, the lakeside pathway and landscape project of Goddess Lake, the tourism service reception center, and Yaowenchang Road in the Goddess Lake Resort.
