Xinglong Lake

Xinglong Lake is located in the middle of Yongchuan's Xinglong Avenue (rated as one of Chongqing's top ten most beautiful avenues), and is part of the Yongchuan government’s eco-leisure and business service center under the “Three Lakes Era” initiative. It marked the beginning of Yongchuan’s era of creating lakes on flat land. Construction of Xinglong Lake began in 2008, and it was preliminarily completed and opened to the public in 2010. Grand and dynamic in design, the lake covers a planned land area of approximately 2 square kilometers, with a water surface area of about 200 acres. It features both mountains and water, with a uniquely novel layout that includes towering trees, lush grasses and flowers, small bridges over flowing streams, and traditional pavilions. The shimmering lake surface complements the hazy blue hues of the surrounding hills. Here you’ll find the largest musical fountain in Southwest China, captivating laser shows, and a highly popular water screen movie. This place has become a landmark of Yongchuan and a favorite destination for locals to bring family and friends during holidays and special occasions. Thanks to the lake’s stunning scenery, nearby property prices have also risen significantly and enjoyed strong sales.
