The former site of the Banqiao Education Promotion Institute is located at the Town Committee of Banqiao Town, Yongchuan District, dating back to 1923.

In 2019, the former site of the Banqiao Education Promotion Institute was designated as part of the third batch of Chongqing Municipal Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government.

Banqiao Town: Located in the northernmost part of Yongchuan City, 25 kilometers from downtown Yongchuan, it covers an area of 70.77 square kilometers, with 30 villages, 220 villager groups, 2 community committees, 6 resident groups, and a population of 39,837.

The town enjoys a mild climate, abundant rainfall, a long frost-free period, fertile soil, and rich water resources. It lies against the lush Jishan Mountain Range, with 2,100 mu of mountainous land and 27,500 mu of forested area.
