Chongqing Shizhu Tengzigou National Wetland Park

Chongqing Shizhu Tengzigou National Wetland Park is a national-level wetland park.

In 2014, Shizhu County successfully applied for the establishment of the Tengzigou National Wetland Park as a pilot site. This park is classified as a reservoir-type wetland and spans three townships—Qiaotou, Sanhe, and Sanyi—with a planned area of 670.84 hectares, including 459.42 hectares of reservoir wetland. The planning period is from 2015 to 2020, with an estimated total investment of over 300 million yuan. According to the plan, the Tengzigou National Wetland Park will be divided into five functional zones: ecological conservation, restoration and reconstruction, education and exhibition, rational utilization, and management services. Once completed, it will serve as a mountainous composite national valley wetland park integrating wetland conservation, science education, leisure and recreation, and industrial development. This marks another national-level ecological brand for the county, following the Huangshui National Forest Park.
