The Xieshiban Tan Family Ancestral Hall is a cultural heritage site protected by Shizhu County.

The Xieshiban Tan Family Ancestral Hall is located in Xieshiban Group, Huangjueyan Village, Xituo Town. It dates back to the Republican era and is classified as an ancient building.

On December 31, 2011, the Xieshiban Tan Family Ancestral Hall was included in the fourth batch of cultural heritage protection units of Shizhu County.

Xituo Town: With a long history and rich culture, Xituo was already a bustling hub of overland and waterborne trade, “alive with the glow of homes and commerce, resembling a prosperous market town,” as early as the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. From ancient times to the present, it has served as an important deep-water port along the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and has now become a key tourism gateway to the Huangshui National Forest Park.

　Xituo Town is situated on the banks of the Yangtze River in the northern part of Shizhu County. Originally named Xijietuo, meaning “the western border of Xizhou,” it derived its name from its location by the backwater bay on the southern bank of the Yangtze.
