The Shuangyantang Site is located within farmland in Villages 5 and 6, Xinglong Village, Dachang Town, Wushan County, covering a distribution area of 100,000 square meters. It is an important Shang-Zhou site discovered along the middle reaches of the Daning River. From 1997 to 2005 and in 2002, the site was comprehensively excavated by the Institute of Archaeology, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The excavation covered an area of 60,000 square meters, yielding a large number of cultural relics including bronze ware, jade ware, bone ware, and more. Additionally, various remains such as pits, trenches, small tombs, pottery kilns, lime kilns, hearths, substantial accumulations of red burned soil, and gravel deposits were discovered. These findings further confirm that the area was an important center or one of the major settlements of the Ba culture during the Western Zhou period, holding significant value for the study of early Ba culture. The entire site is now located below the water level of the Three Gorges Reservoir.

Dachang Town: Dachang Town is located at the junction of Chongqing, Shaanxi, and Hubei in eastern Chongqing. With a history of over 1,700 years, it covers an area of 188.8 square kilometers. The town currently has a total population of 46,979 and administers 30 administrative villages and 1 neighborhood committee. It serves as the center of the Little Three Gorges Golden Tourism Area and the northern Wushan tourism corridor, as well as being the largest third-phase relocation town in the Three Gorges Reservoir region.
