The Site of the Old Prefecture City is located in Jiuzhou Town, Qiongshan District, Haikou City, dating back to the Tang Dynasty. It is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Hainan Province.

Protected Area: An extension of 51.5 meters southeastward along the outer wall base of the city wall, 50.1 meters northwestward and northeastward respectively, and 50 meters southeastward and southwestward as well as 50.6 meters northwestward along the inner wall base constitutes the protected area.

Jiuzhou Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Qiongshan City. Established in 1987, it is located in the southern part of the city, 27 kilometers from the municipal government. Covering an area of 126.2 square kilometers with a population of 23,000, it is traversed by the Yunchang Highway. The town administers seven village committees: Jiuzhou, Hongwei, Daomei, Guangming, Lianxing, Chilian, and Lingnan. The main agricultural product is rice. Cash crops include rubber and sugarcane.
