Beihai Huanzhu Hall is the Huanzhu Hall World Shell and Coral Exhibition Hall, designed and constructed with an investment of nearly 10 million RMB by Beihai Wenbang Pearl Co., Ltd. It is located in the middle section of South Sichuan Road. The biggest difference between this exhibition hall and other similar aquariums is that it is a new-concept marine life museum themed around showcasing marine mollusks such as shells and corals. Especially in terms of coral ecology, the hall boasts the world’s largest coral ecological display tank, which utilizes the world’s most advanced filtration and life-support technology to house these fascinating mollusks in an artificially created ecological environment. Strolling through it, you can experience the vibrant beauty of tropical coral reef ecosystems just like a diver. The hall displays over 600 varieties of shell specimens, totaling nearly 7,000 pieces, and houses more than 70 species of live sea shells, over 150 species of corals, about 80 species of ornamental marine fish totaling nearly 600 individuals, and approximately 200 other marine invertebrates.
