The Shiwu Mountain Ecological Scenic Area — integrating scenic views, summer retreats, and tea tasting. With an altitude of 498 meters, the mountain is often veiled in clouds, remains green all year, and is named after a naturally occurring “stone pot” on its peak. This “stone pot” is said to be where the sunrise’s colorful light converges, making it an extraordinary spot to watch the sunrise. Shiwu Mountain Reservoir lies at the foot of the mountain, dotted with islands such as Peach Blossom Island, Lovers’ Island, and Longing Island. With winding hills and streams, and secluded paths, visitors can fish or have a picnic on the islands. Shiwu Mountain tea, a high-mountain green tea, enjoys fame beyond the region. Enjoying both the scenic tour and a taste of Shiwu Mountain tea is a truly delightful experience.

Shiren Lake Scenic Area — with a water storage capacity of 1.8205 million cubic meters, it encompasses 200 hectares of primeval forest. Towering ancient trees, a rich variety of precious wild plants, crystal-clear streams that flow year-round, unique waterfalls, and oddly shaped rocks define the area. The lake offers opportunities for fishing, swimming, and boating, making it an ideal summer retreat and sightseeing destination.

Pillar Reaching the Sky — A solitary column standing 60.72 meters tall, with a volume of about 40,000 cubic meters and weighing approximately 80,000 tons, resembles a male celestial being lying on his back, majestically rising from the mountain — a sight that sparks the imagination. Known in ancient times as “Loving Wife Rock.” Nearby, there are vivid natural wonders such as an ancient elephant probing the sea, a giant ship carrying a lion, a turtle foraging for food, umbrella-shaped rock, and a golden thread suspending a gourd.

Scenery of Duanzhe Fort — The fort is long and straight, with a majestic presence resembling a speeding train that suddenly breaks in the middle, hence its name (also known as Thunderbolt Gorge). It is a famous Danxia landform in Lingshan County, stretching over 10 kilometers in total. The “Duanzhe Fort Bandit Suppression Battle” during the Liberation War left a profound impression on later generations, and the heroic tale of the People's Liberation Army “fighting with coffins on their backs” is still celebrated. The “Bandit Cave” and the Revolutionary Martyrs Monument attract many visitors.

Yandun Drums — During the Spring Festival, Yandun comes alive with the thunderous beats of drums, creating a lively and festive atmosphere. Hundreds of folk drums compete in splendor. Additionally, during the annual Big Drum Festival on the 15th day of the first lunar month, the community selects the best drummers to compete. This folk tradition, with a history of over 300 years, symbolizes wishes for a bountiful harvest and good fortune in the new year. The town currently preserves over 300 traditional drums. It is said that Yandun drums are crafted using traditional methods from whole camphor tree trunks. The oldest preserved drum dates back to the 16th year of the Guangxu Emperor’s reign, while the tallest stands 2.5 meters high, with a diameter of 1.8 meters and a weight of 350 kilograms.

Ancient Houses — The ancestral hall of the Shi family in Sheshan Natural Village, Maozhen Village Committee, has a history of over 300 years. Its murals are strikingly lifelike, and various carvings and polished artworks showcase the grandeur of ancient architecture. The Liang family’s ancient residence in Dalekou Natural Village, Liujia Village Committee, was built in the early Qing Dynasty. Its owner, Liang Wanli, was a fourth-rank military official of the Qing era. The residence includes a “pot-ear tower,” a martial arts training ground, and sections divided into first, second, and third buildings. The murals and carvings remain clear, while martial arts stones and horse-tying stones are well-preserved. The residence covers an area of 4,770 square meters.

Bamboo Weaving Crafts — Bamboo weaving crafts are a traditional handicraft product of the town, with over 120 product lines. These exquisitely crafted items are exported to 16 countries and regions, including Europe, America, Japan, and Southeast Asia, generating an annual output value of over 130 million yuan. Bamboo forests serve not only as the resource base for these crafts but also as a beautiful feature of Yandun’s landscape.
