Introduction Located on the southern shore of Nanhu Park in Nanning, Guangxi. It is a memorial hall dedicated to two martyrs, Li Mingrui and Wei Baqun. In January 1999, it was designated as a Patriotic Education Base by the Guangxi Autonomous Region. The memorial hall is a building with the architectural style of Zhuang ethnic residences, featuring an exhibition hall of over 320 square meters that displays the life stories of martyrs Li Mingrui and Wei Baqun. It showcases 234 cultural relics, photos, and historical materials, vividly recreating the glorious revolutionary journey of Li Mingrui, an outstanding general of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army and commander-in-chief of the Seventh and Eighth Red Armies over 70 years ago, as well as Wei Baqun, an outstanding son of the Zhuang people and an exceptional leader of the agrarian movement, who fought bravely. Among them, the exhibition room dedicated to Li Mingrui's deeds presents his short yet brilliant revolutionary career through seven sections, including "Tiger General of the Northern Expedition" and "Raising the Flag in the Left and Right River Regions." In the center of the memorial hall square stands a majestic 14-meter-tall sculpture of the revolutionary martyrs of the Baise Uprising. At the center of the sculpture flutters a red flag, symbolizing the revolutionary spirit of the people of various ethnic groups in Guangxi who fought bravely under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party during the Great Revolution, reflecting the indomitable spirit of Li Mingrui, Wei Baqun, the Red Army soldiers, and the Red Guards. On the front of the sculpture base is engraved a powerful inscription: "In memory of comrades Li Mingrui, Wei Baqun, and other martyrs of the Baise Uprising. Their revolutionary spirit will live forever!" These bold characters were personally inscribed by [Name] on December 11, 1981.

Li Mingrui (1896–1931), formerly a general of the Guangxi Clique, was a leader of the Baise Uprising and the Longzhou Uprising. He was from Beiliu, Yulin, Guangxi.

In 1918, he entered the Artillery Department of the Shaoguan (now Shaoguan) Branch of the Yunnan Military Academy.

After graduating in 1920, he served as a company commander, battalion commander, and regimental commander in the Guangxi Army.

Starting in 1926, he served as a brigade commander, division commander, and deputy army commander of the National Revolutionary Army’s 7th Army. During the Northern Expedition, he led troops in battles such as those at Heshengqiao and Dean, earning the title of Tiger General.
