Guangxi Revolutionary Memorial Hall

The Guangxi Revolutionary Memorial Hall is a classic red tourism attraction.

The Guangxi Revolutionary Memorial Hall was first built in 1978, expanded in 1988, and underwent its first renovation in 2003. In December 2011, the second renovation was completed. After the renovation, the hall covers an area of approximately 5,600 square meters. The entire exhibition is divided into two sections: the New Democratic Period and the Socialist Period. It includes seven major thematic groups: the Preface Hall, the Great Revolution Period, the Agrarian Revolutionary Period, the War of Resistance Against Japan Period, the Liberation War Period, the Socialist Period, and the Care of National Leaders for Guangxi. The exhibition route is about 800 meters long, displaying a total of 151 cultural relics and 746 photographs. In terms of content arrangement, the exhibition follows key historical events as its narrative thread. Thematically, it highlights the great achievements of revolutionary figures such as Deng Xiaoping and Wei Baqun, while also giving greater emphasis to the main leaders of the Party organizations and notable martyrs from various historical periods in Guangxi. In terms of presentation techniques, the hall makes full use of multimedia featuring sound, light, and electricity, as well as modern display technologies such as sculptures, murals, oil paintings, and restored historical scenes to vividly recreate history. It comprehensively showcases the revolutionary struggle of the Communist Party of China in Guangxi and the deeds of the region’s renowned martyrs.
