The Nanning Deng Yingchao Memorial Hall is a classic red tourism site and a patriotic education base.

The Deng Yingchao Memorial Hall is located at No. 37 Minzu Avenue, Nanning City, Guangxi.

Comrade Deng Yingchao was born on February 4, 1904, in the official residence of the Nanning Town Commander’s Office on the north bank of the Yong River. She was a great proletarian revolutionary and stateswoman, a renowned social activist, a steadfast Marxist, an outstanding leader of the Party and the country, and a pioneer in China’s women’s movement.

To commemorate the great achievements of Comrade Deng Yingchao, the Nanning Municipal Committee and the Municipal People’s Government of the CPC decided to establish the Deng Yingchao Memorial Hall. On February 4, 2007, the 103rd anniversary of her birth, the memorial hall opened to the public. In order to recreate the old charm of Nanning and better preserve historical continuity, the Nanning Municipal Committee and the Municipal People’s Government launched the renovation project of the “Three Streets and Two Lanes” historical and cultural district in 2017. In December 2018, the Deng Yingchao Memorial Hall was relocated to this site. The newly built memorial hall is a traditional three-courtyard compound with two inner courtyards, covering a land area of 1,273 square meters and an exhibition area of 1,000 square meters.

The former Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference — inscribed the name of the Deng Yingchao Memorial Hall. The museum exhibition consists of six thematic sections: “Memories of Yong City,” “Revolutionary Journey,” “Pioneer of Women,” “Deep Bond as a Couple,” “Public Servant’s Integrity,” and “Affection for Guangxi.” Through various display methods including artifacts, photographs, scene reconstructions, and multimedia, the exhibition comprehensively presents the remarkable life of Comrade Deng Yingchao, the “Daughter of Nanning.” The ground floor lobby features a full-body statue modeled after Deng Yingchao in her later years. The “Memories of Yong City” section introduces Deng Yingchao’s parents and her childhood life in Nanning. The “Revolutionary Journey” section outlines her educational and teaching experiences, as well as her involvement in the May Fourth Movement, and her revolutionary journey through the Long March, the War of Resistance against Japan, and the Liberation War. The “Pioneer of Women” section showcases her leadership and participation in various women’s social activities, as well as her outstanding contributions to building socialism in China, fostering friendship between Chinese women and women worldwide, and promoting world peace. The “Deep Bond as a Couple” section highlights their revolutionary partnership spanning over half a century. The “Public Servant’s Integrity” section details Deng Yingchao’s clean and dedicated service as a national leader. The “Affection for Guangxi” section describes her two visits back to Nanning.

In December 2010, the Deng Yingchao Memorial Hall was designated as a Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Patriotic Education Base by the CPC Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Committee and the Regional Government.
