Located 5.5 kilometers south of downtown Chongzuo City, it covers an area of 1,500 acres. Stepping into the peak forest, you’ll see a marvelous composition of stone peaks, lakes, green trees, vines, exotic flowers, and fragrant grasses that form various spectacular scenes. The entire scenic area features exquisitely shaped rocks, secluded caves, and steep cliffs, offering breathtaking views at every turn.

Chongzuo is a prefecture-level city in Guangxi that was officially established in 2003. It is situated on the banks of the Zujiang River, covering a total area of 17,345 square kilometers with a population of 2.2802 million. The city is home to various ethnic groups including Zhuang, Han, Yao, Miao, Hui, Dong, Shui, and Jing, among which the Zhuang people make up 89% of the total population, making it the prefecture-level city with the highest proportion of Zhuang people in China.

In the early years of the People's Republic of China, the Zujiang area belonged to the Longzhou Special District. In April 1951, Chongshan County and Zuoxian County were merged into Chongzuo County (approved by the State Council on August 11, 1952), from which the name “Chongzuo” originated. On October 19, 1951, the Longzhou Special District was renamed the Chongzuo Special District, which governed nine counties: Chongzuo, Fusui, Zhennan, Sile, Lijiang, Daxin, Zhendu, Long’an, and Shangsi. In August 1952, the Chongzuo and Binyang Special Districts were merged to form the Yongning Special District (approved by the State Council on April 23, 1953). Lijiang County was renamed Longjin County due to its identical name with Lijiang County in Yunnan Province (it was restored as Longzhou County in 1962). Zhennan and Sile counties were abolished and merged into Ningming County. In October 1956, Pingxiang City at the county level was split from Ningming County. On November 14, 1958, the Yongning Special District was renamed the Nanning Special District, and in November 1971, it became the Nanning Region. Chongzuo County remained under the administration of the Nanning Region until December 23, 2002, when the State Council approved the dissolution of the Nanning Region and the establishment of the prefecture-level city of Chongzuo. On August 6, 2003, Chongzuo City was officially established.

Major tourist attractions in Chongzuo include the Chongzuo Guilong Leaning Tower and the Chongzuo Stone Forest Park.
