Bama Renshou Mountain Villa

The Bama Renshou Mountain Villa scenic area is located in Ganyan Village, Pinglin Village, Natao Township, Bama County, Guangxi Province, about 10 kilometers from the county town. The drive from the county town to the scenic area takes around 15 minutes. It is the only resort in Bama that centers on health preservation and tourism, and also incorporates dining, entertainment, shopping, and a range of other large-scale leisure facilities. It is also Bama’s first cultural landscape, promoting Bama’s longevity culture and tourism culture.

Renshou Mountain Villa was the former residence of Deng Chengcai, an elderly man to whom the Guangxi Provincial Educational Commissioner (appointed by Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty) presented a plaque inscribed with the characters “Only the Benevolent Live Long” (惟仁者寿). The villa covers an area of ten acres. In addition to the three-courtyard former home of the elderly man, the garden includes special food workshops, amusement facilities, and the Renshou Restaurant among other leisure and entertainment amenities.

Visitors to Renshou Mountain Villa can learn about the history of Bama’s longevity culture, experience the simple and traditional customs of Bama’s ethnic minorities, enjoy local ethnic song and dance performances, try their hand at making and tasting Bama’s ethnic specialty snacks, savor the Bama Longevity Banquet, and participate in traditional ethnic festival activities.

The villa enjoys a beautiful environment, backed by green mountains, with exceptionally fresh air and a high concentration of negative oxygen ions. The ecological environment is excellent, especially during spring and summer when flowers bloom in competition and birds sing amid fragrant blossoms.
