Yuncheng Salt Lake (China's Dead Sea)
Yuncheng Salt Lake (China's Dead Sea) is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.
Yuncheng Salt Lake (China's Dead Sea) Tourism Development Co., Ltd. is a new-type tourism enterprise with independent legal person status, integrating culture, ecology, greenery, and wellness. Established in response to the municipal government’s call to boost tourism, the company was invested and developed by Nafine Group leveraging the resource advantages of the salt lake. Founded in 2002 with a registered capital of 40 million yuan, the company currently employs over 200 staff. Based in Yuncheng, serving the nation, and aiming globally, the company adheres to the principle of "developing through reform, innovating through development, and advancing through innovation." Building on the site's ancient, unique, and expansive characteristics, and utilizing the unparalleled salt lake resources, the company focuses on creating premium tourism projects—“Dead Sea Floating, Black Mud Wellness, and Mineral Spring Spa”—collectively known as the “Three Wonders of the Dead Sea.” The scenic spots currently developed by the company include the Grand Black Mud Wellness City, the Salt Temple, and the Phoenix Valley Forest Park. Since its opening, the company has received a cumulative total of 3 million domestic and international visitors, with an annual revenue of over 20 million yuan. It is hailed as the leading force in Yuncheng’s tourism industry and a flagship of the local tourism sector.
The company operates in accordance with modern corporate systems, adheres to institutional management innovation, and has created an internally market-oriented management model. With a focus on market-driven strategies and end-user promotion, the company has established seven marketing offices across Shanxi, Shaanxi, and Henan provinces. In collaboration with the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, it founded the Salt Lake and Health Research Institute, establishing its own research center and base. By integrating modern wellness concepts, the company has developed the country’s only series of black mud cosmetics and tourism souvenirs, which are highly favored by domestic and international tourists. In 2007, the company successfully obtained dual ISO9000 and ISO14000 quality and environmental certification. It has been awarded several honors, including National Industrial Tourism Demonstration Site, Chinese Folk Cultural Heritage Tourism Demonstration Area, Yuncheng Civilized Scenic Tourism Area, and one of Yuncheng’s Top Ten Image Brands. In 2008, it was rated as a national AAAA-level scenic spot and designated as one of the six core tourism sites for product innovation and upgrade in Shanxi Province over the next five years.
Moving forward, the company aims to further increase investment, expand scale, elevate standards, and develop the “China's Dead Sea” brand into the largest salt-themed leisure and wellness resort in China. This resort will feature distinctive highlights, comprehensive functions, strong reception capacity, and standardized management and services—all while protecting the ecological environment of Yuncheng Salt Lake.
