Xia’ao Revolutionary Martyrs' Tower is a classic red tourism destination and a patriotic education base.

Xia’ao Township is a revolutionary base area. During various struggles against the enemy from 1949 to 1968, 44 soldiers from the township sacrificed their lives heroically. To honor the memory of these martyrs, carry forward their spirit, and provide a meaningful site for revolutionary tradition education among youths, Du’an County raised 100,000 yuan to build a Revolutionary Martyrs' Memorial Tower in Banmai’ao, Xia’ao Township. The project covers an area of one mu and includes a 25-meter-high square-base memorial tower with 8-meter sides, a monument inscribed with the names of the revolutionary martyrs, as well as surrounding site hardening, landscaping, and fencing facilities. Construction began in October last year and was completed in February this year. The completion and opening of this Revolutionary Martyrs' Memorial Tower allows residents and primary and secondary school students from Xia’ao Township and nearby areas such as Yong’an and Longfu to pay their respects and receive education on revolutionary traditions and patriotism.
