On November 26, the most influential sports charity event in South China — the Yidong Guangdong Charity Hiking Team Race — was held at the Longyandong Forest Park in Guangzhou. NHT Global Supports Yidong Guangdong Charity Event for the Third Time
On November 26, the most influential sports charity event in South China — the Yidong Guangdong Charity Hiking Team Race — was held at the Longyandong Forest Park in Guangzhou.
The event was hit by a cold wave, with continuous rainy weather turning mountain trails muddy, and worsening conditions on the day with temperatures dropping as low as 8degrees Celsiuson the mountain, accompanied by strong winds and freezing rain throughout, presenting participants with unprecedented challenges. To cheer on the participants, Mr. Yao Qide, Vice President of Business Development for Greater China at NHT Global, and Ms. Xin Beibei, Operations Director of NHT Global China, attended the event as guests and joined the hike. Undeterred by the wind and rain, NHT volunteers endured over six hours of hiking in freezing wind and rain, spreading love and energy through their actions.。Having gone through the trials of “testing willpower, endurance, and enduring the cold,” all participants either safely completed the race or withdrew as needed. Among them, the “NHT Walk_Flying Team” won the championship in the “Yixing Group” with a time of 2 hours, 19 minutes, and 41 seconds, marking their second consecutive victory in this category. The funds raised by each team will primarily support public welfare projects on the Yidong Guangdong joint fundraising platform, mainly aiding community-based public service organizations in the Pearl River Delta region. These efforts aim to help vulnerable groups improve their living conditions, promote social integration, and encourage greater participation.
Since launching the “NHT Walk” charity journey in China in 2015, NHT Global has now supported the “Yidong Guangdong” charity event for the third consecutive year in 2016. On the day of the event, the outdoor temperature of 8degrees Celsius, coupled with cold winds and rain, tested the willpower of every participant. Yidong Guangdong is one of the three major sports charity events in China. It creates a public participation platform by combining hiking with fundraising. Participants register in teams of four, must complete specific wilderness hiking challenges, and are required to raise 1,000 yuan in charitable funds within one month after the event.。ThisThe project has been held for five consecutive years. Excluding the current event, the Yidong Guangdong series of charity hikes have seen a total of 11,400 participants, who mobilized 83,800 people to contribute a cumulative donation of 4.1887 million yuan, supporting 125 frontline charity projects. Together with all participating parties, NHT Global helped raise funds for 18 outstanding charity projects addressing poverty and community development issues, including the “Ronghe Plan,” “Leprosy Recovery Village Work Camps,” and the “Make-a-Wish” program for children with cancer. As of November 28, the 21 “NHT Global Teams” had raised more than 22,700 yuan, with hopes of gathering even more donations.
