Swan Nature Reserve

The Yuncheng Swan Nature Reserve is a major wintering habitat for migratory birds along the middle reaches of the Yellow River in China.

It is reported that Yuncheng originally had a swan wintering nature reserve and a Hedong Grey Crane Nature Reserve. The newly built wetland nature reserve will merge the two and be further expanded upon this foundation. The completed reserve covers an area of more than 79,800 hectares, making it larger than other nature reserves in Shanxi Province such as Manghe and Pangquangou, and becoming the largest wetland nature reserve in the province. Within the newly established wetland nature reserve, approximately 200 species of migratory birds will inhabit the area, turning it into a paradise for them to enjoy the winter.
