Amphibians and reptiles are among the earliest terrestrial vertebrates, showcasing both newly evolved features suited to life on land and inherited traits from their fish ancestors that are adapted to aquatic environments. Amphibians and reptiles have inhabited our ancient planet for over 300 million years.

Stepping into this amphibian and reptile exhibition hall within the Xunfeng Building, which simulates a naturalistic habitat environment, visitors will encounter “swimming pools,” sandy beaches, lawns, temperature-controlled enclosures, and live feeding demonstrations for these uniquely shaped creatures. Here, all animals remain untrained, with their feeding behaviors respected in their natural, wild state. Professional keepers will guide you through authoritative knowledge about amphibians, allow close-up views, let you feed vegetarian “tortoises,” have intimate encounters with gentle “pythons,” and even experience the world-famous “kiss of death” between humans and “cobra.”
