Wan Zhu Yuan Ecological Tourism Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Wan Zhu Agricultural Ecological Park is located in Putan Town, known as the "Hometown of Bamboo Shoots in China." Covering an area of about 200 acres, the park features 80 scenic spots and is a municipal-level tourist attraction.

Wan Zhu Yuan is located at the Qupu section of the county town and 38 meters from the exit of the Shanmei Expressway in Putan Town, just 4 kilometers from the county seat. It lies in the central area of Shantou, Chaozhou, and Jieyang, offering convenient transportation. The park centers around bamboo culture and ecological nature, preserving the original natural landscape to allow visitors to experience the joy of natural ecology and rural life. Attractions in the park include Eight Steeds Galloping, Sunny Red Clouds, Jade Green Corridor, Pearl Curtain Romance, Cloud Tower Bamboo Path, Winding Corridor, and Old-Time Farmhouse. There are also animal performances, a children’s playground, a water world, and Hero’s Crossing. The park regularly invites ethnic minority performers from Yunnan Province to present song, dance, and acrobatic shows. Phase II expansion projects of Wan Zhu Yuan include Chaoshan Folk Custom Screens, a large amusement park, pastoral scenery, Twenty-Four Filial Exemplars, a swimming pool, and more. The tourism facilities throughout the park are gradually becoming comprehensive, making it a new highlight in eastern Guangdong.

The park is a key project of Guangdong Province's tourism poverty alleviation initiative, an outstanding tourism site under the province’s “Dynamic Guangdong” campaign, a provincial tourism and leisure demonstration unit, a provincial agricultural tourism demonstration base, and a municipal cultural industry base. In October 2008, Wan Zhu Yuan was designated as a patriotic education base by the county and also serves as a creative base for the Jiedong County Literature Association.
