The Lin Clan Ancestral Hall in Xichang is located in Xidong Village, Xichang Town, Jiedong County.

The Lin Clan Ancestral Hall (formerly Shide School) was first built in the early Ming Dynasty. It has a layout consisting of five bays, three courtyards, two skywells, and a worship pavilion. With a history of 711 years, it is a representative ancestral hall architecture with distinctive features of the Chaoshan region. The Lin Clan Ancestral Hall was recognized as a cultural relic protection unit of Jiedong in 2011, and in 2012, it was listed as part of the seventh batch of Guangdong Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Units by the People’s Government of Guangdong Province.

Xidong Village: Located in Jiedong County, Xidong Village borders Dongshan District to the east, connects with Xixi Village to the west, lies against Tengdiaoling Mountain to the north, and faces the Rong River to the south. National Highway 206 runs through the village area, covering a total area of 2.5 square kilometers. The village enjoys a superior geographical location and convenient land and water transportation. It comprises five villager groups, with a total population of 15,338 and 3,375 households. Xidong Village adheres to an industrial development strategy, promoting prosperity through industry and commerce, leading to vigorous growth in both agriculture and manufacturing.
